Easter holds a strong family tradion for me and lots of others. Regardless of your backgound or faith, the one thing that seems to hold true in Houston is going out to eat! The choices of restaurants in the Houston market is staggering in comparison to the rest of the country.
As I sit here with family and friends enjoying a wonderful Easter brunch, I have to think about all of the people in the restaurant industry that have to work on this holiday in order to meet the demands of the dining public. Not only are restaurants open on this and other major holidays, but the volume of business seems to be abnormally high which requires additional workers to support the increasing demand. First off, let me say that NOT every restaurant is open. A few have made it a clear point to remain closed on Sundays and religious holidays and I respect them for that, but I assure you that they are the exception to the rule. The RULE in Houston in general is COME ONE, COME ALL.
